Overview of Sikles Annapurna Eco Trek
The Sikles Annapurna Eco Trek is one of Nepal’s lesser-explored yet culturally and naturally rich trekking trails, located in the southern belt of the Annapurna region. Though close to the popular Annapurna trekking routes, Sikles remains a non-touristy and authentic destination, making it perfect for those who seek quiet mountain paths, vibrant Gurung culture, and untouched nature.
At an altitude of around 2,000 meters, Sikles village lies above the Mardi Khola Valley and is among the largest traditional Gurung settlements in Nepal. With its five unique neighborhoods—Lama-Thar, Sabha-thar, Harpu-thar, Dhaprang-thar, and Gairi-thar—Sikles offers a window into centuries-old traditions, architecture, and rural lifestyles. The stone-paved alleys, mud-and-stone houses, and warm hospitality of the locals make this trek an unforgettable cultural journey.
The route takes trekkers through lush forests of oak, bamboo, and rhododendron, alive with birdsong and vibrant flowers in spring. Along the way, we are rewarded with sweeping views of the Annapurna range, Manaslu, Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, and Annapurna IV. The highlight is reaching Tara Hill Top (3,056m), a natural vantage point that offers a 360-degree panorama of the snowcapped Himalayas.
Unlike crowded trails, the Sikles Trek allows you to truly experience rural Nepal—staying in local homes or campsites, tasting traditional dishes, and observing daily village life. Guided by Beauty Nepal Adventure, this trek blends nature, culture, and adventure into one unforgettable journey.
