Overview ofEverest View Trek

For trekkers who dream of standing face-to-face with the world’s highest peaks but have limited time, the Everest View Trek offers the perfect opportunity. Unlike the longer treks to Everest Base Camp or Gokyo Valley, this short but immensely rewarding trek allows you to witness the majesty of Mount Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,516m), Ama Dablam (6,856m), and other Himalayan giants within just a few days.

At Beauty Nepal Adventure, we have carefully crafted this itinerary to combine natural beauty, cultural encounters, and comfortable pacing. You will not only marvel at the Himalayas from legendary viewpoints such as Everest View Hotel and Tengboche Monastery, but also experience the warmth of the Sherpa people, their unique traditions, and the spirit of the Khumbu region.

This trek begins with a thrilling flight to Lukla, one of the world’s most famous mountain airstrips. From there, you will walk through beautiful villages like Phakding, Monjo, and Namche Bazaar, the bustling Sherpa capital. Days are structured to balance scenic walking with ample acclimatization, ensuring safety and comfort. Along the way, you will explore monasteries, mani walls, chortens, and Sherpa settlements surrounded by breathtaking mountain vistas.

The highlight of this journey is reaching Everest View Hotel (3,880m), where a panoramic sweep of Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and many more peaks unfolds in front of you. In addition, visits to Khunde and Khumjung villages give you a deeper understanding of the Sherpa lifestyle, their legendary mountaineering heritage, and their Buddhist faith.

Whether you’re a first-time trekker in Nepal or someone looking for a shorter adventure, this trek is an ideal choice to taste the grandeur of Everest without committing to a long expedition.

You will be easily recognized at the arrival terminal and transferred to your hotel in a private vehicle. After check-in, you can relax and recover from your journey or take a short stroll through the vibrant streets of Thamel, filled with colorful shops, cafés, and handicraft stores.

In the evening, you will join our team for a trip briefing, where your trekking guide will provide you with important details about the Everest View Trek. This is also a great opportunity to ask questions and make final preparations.
Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Today you will explore the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the Kathmandu Valley with a professional city guide. The sightseeing tour includes four UNESCO World Heritage Sites:

Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) – a hilltop shrine offering panoramic views of the city.

Kathmandu Durbar Square – the historic royal palace complex showcasing exquisite woodwork and temples.

Boudhanath Stupa – one of the largest Buddhist stupas in Asia, encircled by prayer wheels and monasteries.

Pashupatinath Temple – Nepal’s most sacred Hindu temple on the banks of the holy Bagmati River.

In the evening, return to your hotel for trek preparation, meet your porter team, and check your gear with the guidance of Beauty Nepal Adventure staff.
Overnight in Kathmandu.

An early morning scenic flight (30–35 minutes) takes you to Lukla, the gateway to the Khumbu region. From the small Tenzing-Hillary Airport, your trek begins with a gentle descent through pine forests and Sherpa settlements. Passing Cheplung and Ghat villages, you will cross your first suspension bridge and catch glimpses of Himalayan peaks.

After about 4 -5 hours of trekking, you will reach Phakding, a riverside village surrounded by green hills. Spend the evening enjoying the hospitality of a cozy tea house.
Overnight in Phakding.

Today’s journey takes you along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges decorated with prayer flags. The trail gradually ascends through pine forests and rhododendron trees, passing small villages such as Benkar and Monjo, the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park.

After a steep but rewarding climb, you will arrive at a ridge offering the first glimpse of Mount Everest. A further push brings you to the bustling town of Namche Bazaar, the commercial hub of the Khumbu region, often called the “Gateway to Everest.”
Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

To properly acclimatize, you will spend an extra day at Namche. However, it’s not a day of complete rest. You will take a short acclimatization hike either to Everest View Hotel (3,880m) or the traditional Sherpa villages of Khunde and Khumjung, where you can visit a monastery that preserves a mythical Yeti scalp.

Back in Namche, explore the lively market, bakeries, and shops. You may also visit the Sagarmatha National Park Museum to learn about Sherpa culture, Himalayan wildlife, and mountaineering history.
Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

This trek offers breathtaking Himalayan views throughout the day. The trail first contours along a ridge with spectacular panoramas of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. You will descend to the Dudh Koshi River and cross a suspension bridge before making a gradual but steady climb through forests of rhododendron and fir.

Finally, you arrive at Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, the largest in the region. The monastery courtyard provides one of the finest panoramic views of Everest and Ama Dablam, especially during sunset.
Overnight in Tengboche.

After a peaceful morning at Tengboche, the trail descends through forests alive with birdlife and wildflowers (in spring). You will cross the river at Phunki Tenga, then climb through traditional Sherpa villages such as Khumjung and Khunde. Along the way, visit the Khunde Hospital, founded with the support of Sir Edmund Hillary.

Finally, retrace your steps to Namche Bazaar, where you can relax, enjoy freshly baked goods, or shop for souvenirs.
Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

The trail descends steeply back to the Dudh Koshi River, passing through Monjo, Phakding, and several suspension bridges. You’ll walk past carved Mani stones and prayer wheels, retracing your route through serene forests and Sherpa villages.

The final stretch includes a short but steep climb to reach Lukla, where you will spend your last night in the Khumbu region. Celebrate with your trekking team and reflect on your adventure with Beauty Nepal Adventure.
Overnight in Lukla.

After breakfast, take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu, enjoying one last chance to admire the Himalayas from above. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free—explore Kathmandu’s bustling streets, shop for souvenirs, or relax with a spa treatment.

In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner hosted by Beauty Nepal Adventure, celebrating your successful Everest View Trek.
Overnight in Kathmandu. We start the day with a climb to Duglha through the Khumbu Khola valley. The walk along the arid terrace is rewarding with awesome views of mountains on all sides. As we come to a yak herder’s place called Dusa, the valley begins to narrow and we continue through Phulung Karpo, the camp site of the first successful Everest Expedition in 1953. Above Phulung Karpo is Chola Lake. As we move on, the majestic view of Mt. Pumori (7138 m/ 23418 ft) comes into view. As the trail descends and curves, Mt. Pumori disappears from view and we come across a roaring stream. After crossing a small wooden bridge, we ascend to Duglha. We can see the tip of Mt Nuptse from here as well as Mt Cholatse, Mt Thamserku, and several other magnificent peaks. Spending a night in Duglha is ideal for acclimatization purposes. Overnight in Duglha. (B,L,D).

After breakfast, our representative will escort you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight home. We recommend arriving at least three hours before departure. Your unforgettable journey with Beauty Nepal Adventure comes to a close, leaving you with cherished memories of Himalayan peaks, Sherpa culture, and breathtaking landscapes.
